Second Annual Spring Thing

Enjoy a DC Spring day with an arts & craft show!

This DC Craft Mafia’s Spring Thing craft show is just around the corner! This year’s show will feature over 40 local vendors showing off their creative DIY house wears, baby goods, jewelry, silk-screen t-shirts, hula hoops, art, photography and more. Local charity Lucky Dog Rescue will be there for furry fun and adoptions. Live music by Dave Tieff will be provided early on in the show. So come out and pick up some unique crafts while enjoying the Spring weather and supporting local artists and crafters!

Check out the Spring Thing event page for more info and updates!

NewMafia

The New Mafia Site …

You’ll notice it’s still in the works, but progress will continue throughout the next couple of weeks on our new site. In addition, our old blog on Blogspot will migrate to this very page. All of you who have supported us through our blog, please continue to do so here! Not only will the blog be featured on our site (as it should be) – several improvements will be integrated, including individual member pages, interactive event calendar and better opportunities for fellow crafters to promote their own projects and shows.

EcoDepot

Eco Art + Design Depot

Hey all, make it to Georgetown for this crafty (and eco-friendly) show this Sunday. We think it’s safe to assume the weather will be perfect for this worthwhile event presented by our friends in SCRAP DC and Benevolent Media.

In celebration of Earth Day, Benevolent Media and SCRAP DC present an afternoon of eco-conscious art and design, featuring a pop-up marketplace of local vendors and interactive workshops led by teaching artists dedicated to inspiring “creative reuse” and environmentally sustainable behavior. This event is scheduled as part of The Water Street Project, a multidisciplinary “flash” exhibition housed in a temporary art gallery/creative space in Georgetown, along the newly renovated waterfront, in Washington, D.C.

WHAT: Eco Art + Design Depot

WHEN: Sunday, April 22, 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: The Water Street Project, 3401 Water Street NW, Washington, DC, 20007
