Cut out the template with scissors and trace around it on a piece of wood that matches the depth of the nightstand. Cut along the guides with a jig saw to cut a wedge. Sand the edges with sandpaper grit 220. Turn the nightstand again and apply a drop of wood glue to the low side. Align the wooden wedge with the edge of the nightstand and press the wedge in place. Wood glue oozes clean with a damp cloth. Place a weight on top of the wedge. Let the glue dry wood for two or three hours. Apply stain or cover zero liquid to the exposed edges of the wedge. Turn the black metal night stand to the right.
